Vannas Scissors

These high quality stainless steel spring Vannas scissors are ideal for microscopic dissections. The scissors have very fine tips that eliminate extraneous material, thus maximizing visibility under a microscope.

Straight/8cm/2.5 x 0.075mm (SCS-VAN-ST-2.5MM)

The short (2.5 mm) taper on the tips make them ideal for small cuts that are common with microvessel dissections, or dissections of other fine tissues.

Straight/10.5cm/0.15mm (SCS-VAN-ST-4MM)

The scissors have fine tips that are slightly longer (4 mm) than the other scissors we carry. The longer tips are useful for general tissue cleaning, or for removing connective tissue from large blood vessels. These scissors are also useful for cutting muscle strips from larger hollow organs, such as urinary bladder, uterus, trachea, and intestine.

Straight/8cm/3 x 0.05mm  (SCS-VAN-ST-3MM)

The relatively longer taper on the tips (3 mm) make them well suited for cutting through microvessel walls, or dissections of other fine tissues.

Angled/7.5cm/3 x 0.15mm (SCS-VAN-AN-3MM)

Angled on flat blades that angle up when the scissors are laid flat. This angle facilitates making horizontal cuts from above the specimen, as is commonly done when cleaning microvessels.
